How to Manage Call Recording

Call recording can be setup for any extensions. There is an option to have call recordings transfer to your FTP Server. *If you do setup your account to have call recordings go to the server, they will not appear in the administration portal and all recordings will push at 12 a.m.

  1. From the Control Panel click on the Sounds menu, then select Call Recording.

  3. Next select the extensions that you would like to record the click Apply Changes.
  4.  
  5. After an extension has been selected for recording the light will turn green.

 

Call Recording Managment

 

  • Any recordings from extensions will appear on the right hand side of the page, recordings can be filtered by extension, duration, and size.
  •  
  • A call recording will remain in the portal for 30 days until it expires. There is no option to delete files from the portal.

Manage Music on Hold

  1. From the Control Panel click on the Sounds menu, and select Music on Hold.

  3. Next you will see any sound items that have been uploaded.Music on Hold Sounds

  5. If you would like to add additional sounds click on the Sounds tab, then select Manage Sounds.

  7. Next you will give your sound prompt a name then Browse for a file. Confirmation will be given after a sound has been uploaded.Music on Hold playlist

  9. Next you will add files to a Music on Hold Playlist.

  11. To create a playlist create a Playlist Name and choose which Sounds you would like add to the playlist.

  15. If you would like to create any additional sounds for Music on Hold click on the Sounds menu, then select Manage Sounds.

Create Sound Prompts

A Sound Prompt is a message that is played to customers that usually provides instructions for navigating through the auto attendant.

1: Begin by selecting Sounds from the main menu and then selecting Manage Sounds.

 Next, select Create new sound and enter a Sound Name.

3: Upload a prerecorded sound prompt, or record a sound prompt through an extension.

If you choose to upload a file, select Choose File and locate the file on your computer. Once the file has been selected, click Create Sound. Please note that the uploaded file must be less than 4 megabytes and must be .MP3 or .wav file type.

If you choose to Record by Extension, select the extension that you will use to record the message and click Create Sound. Within a few seconds, you will receive a call at that extension with instructions on recording your sound prompt. Upon completion your newly created sound prompt will be located under Sounds. You can review the sound prompt and either record a new one or upload a different sound prompt.
